Lawyer from Universidad de Chile, Master in Sociology from Universidad Católica de Chile. Master of Science in Law from Stanford University, USA. Doctoral candidate in Law at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
He is currently Director of Research and Development of the Justice and Society Center of the Catholic University of Chile and a professor of sociology at the same University. He worked in the government of Michelle Bachelet, both in matters related to drug treatment and policies and crime prevention.
His lines of research are related to the criminal justice system, access to justice, prisons and drug policies, among other things.
