My Commitment to Serve ISSUP in Bangladesh
Dear Respected Colleagues,
Greetings from Bangladesh.
I am honored to introduce myself as a United Nations–Connected Civil Society Leader under the UN Department of Global Communications (DGC) and UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) — proudly representing Bangladesh in global human rights, anti-drug, and peace initiatives.
As a Professional Member of the International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP), my vision goes beyond online engagement. I aspire to establish an active ISSUP presence in Bangladesh, raising awareness, promoting prevention, and strengthening the national network in alignment with ISSUP’s global mission.
I do not seek financial assistance.
All I humbly request is recognition, encouragement, and moral support from ISSUP’s global leadership and South Asia colleagues. With that encouragement, I will carry out this mission at my own cost and full dedication.
Alongside my ISSUP membership, I am affiliated with several international networks that reinforce my capacity and credibility:
United Nations Partner Portal, UN Global Marketplace & UN MGCY – Officially Registered Stakeholder
Amnesty International – Official Member
CIVICUS – Connected with UN Human Rights Mechanism
GNDR (Global Network of Civil Society Organisations for Disaster Reduction) – Verified Member & Future Speaker
International Peace Bureau (IPB) – Individual Member
World Federation Against Drugs (WFAD) – Official Member
United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) – Expression of Interest Accepted
Crime Survivors for Safety and Justice (CSSJ, USA) – Global Anti-Crime Leadership Recognition
ICC Coalition & UNCAC Coalition – Under Review
Minority Rights Group International (MRG) – Under Consideration
UNIPA – Official Member
With these global engagements and experiences, I am fully committed to advancing ISSUP’s mission in Bangladesh — to make our nation’s voice stronger in the global fight against substance use.
With deep respect and gratitude,
Syed Nasim Siraj Rudro
